 2006-2007 ISSA Dallas Chapter Election

This years Chapter Election will be held during October and November.

Election ballots have be mailed to each member in good standing. If you have not received one within a few , and have paid your dues, please contact Dione or Charlyn. Extra Ballots will be available at the November meeting. All ballots must be returned by November 30, 2006

It's election time for officers of the North Texas Chapter of the ISSA. The existing positions are President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary, Membership Coordinator, and Events Coordinator (formerly Marketing Coordinator). We hope this move will give other members a chance to be more active in the chapter and allow the officer board to do more for the members.

This page outlines the nomination and voting process. A very brief description of the officer responsibilities is also available. We are trying to keep this process simple.

We encourage you to vote in this election. We further encourage you run for office if you are interested.

 Term of Office

The current term of office is a period of one calendar year starting January 1, 2007 for all offices.

The current board has had discussions, during the past year, of the possibility of changing some offices to multi-year, staggering some office terms, or to limiting the term of some offices. These discussions were tabled due to the timing and concurrence with upcoming the elections. If there is interest in the future, the 2007 officers may consider these changes.

     Why have a preferred browser?
Simple, I have found that Firefox does not have the security problems of IE. It also renders pages better, and it's free! I've use it to develop these and other web pages. I'm also developing pages to the XHTML standard.
